Shall We Tweet?

Thinking about Twitter. Seems to be a simple enough concept. Not as complex as FaceBook or those other social networking things. Besides, I can Tweet directly to the blog from my iPhone.

Will have to look into it.

Have fun!

Bathroom Update

It’s starting to look like a bathroom again.  Finished installing the sinks and hooking up water and drains.  Caulked around everything including the backsplash.  Surprise! Nothing leaks!  That’s an accomplishment for me.  I usually have all kinds of leaks.  Plumbing and I don’t get along too good.  Guess I don’t have enough butt crack.  LOL..

So here are some new pictures from the work I did tonight.  All I need to do is paint the front wainscoting and then sand and prep the rest of the walls and paint.  Also need a bit of quarter round on the base of the vanity.  Oh – that’s right – I have to paint the vanity white too.

And Now We Have A Toilet

The toilet is now installed. Not too hard to do. It even flushes.

How to Destroy and Rebuild a Bathroom

I’ve been remodeling the upstairs bathroom for the past couple of weeks.   Started last week by taking three days of vacation to destroy the and demolish the bathroom.  LOTS of work to get that done.  Here are some hints:

Get and use knee pads!  By the end of the first day my knees were TOASTED!  $8 at The Home Depot – well worth it.

It’s always going to take more than you think – If you haven’t done this too much – you will be surprised how much is involved.  Allow plenty of time.

When we busted up the floor – Greg helped A Lot – we found that the original flooring was set on 1/2″ of concrete with a wire mesh below.  It took plenty of back and arm to break it up.  And made a bunch of dust.  Have face mask filters available.

Here are some pictures of the process from break up to tile laying that I took with my iPhone camera.

Updating With My iPhone Now

Going to be updating using my iPhone now. Should see more frequent ramblings now.  There is a free app (application) available from Apple in the AppStore that allows direct updates from the iPhone.  Tried it out here with a picture.

Have fun!
